HOUSE NUMBER 8 (DEATH, JUSTICE)
Saturn & Moon conjunct in 8H are not considered auspicious & gives threat for longevity. Mercury & Mars conjunct in 8H are not inauspicious despite they are inimical & considered generally inauspicious in 8H while sitting alone. When 8H is bad due to placement of bad planets but there is a planet in 3H, it protects the native from threat of longevity. When 8H wants to give bad results, planets of 2H & 6H also join in giving bad results. But if there is a planet in 12H also, final decision will be taken of planet of 12H despite it may be inimical to other planets. The significations of that planet may get destroyed. Mars malefic in 8H (as per LK rules) is considered as one of the worst planet. Mercury alone & Paapi (Rahu, Ketu & Saturn) are also not considered auspicious in general. For example, Saturn alone may or may not give bad results but when Saturn - Moon or Saturn-Mars are placed in 8H, it gives very bad results. When there is a planet in 8H as well in 11H & native brings articles of 11H planet to home, it gives adverse results like loss of health & huge financial loss. This will happen especially when planet placed in 11H comes to 8H or 11H in Varshphala. When the two planets are inimical, bad results will be related to 8H. To avoid such situation, one should bring articles related to friends of planet of 11H along with its items. For example, say Mercury is placed in 8H alone which is generally inauspicious. Jupiter is placed in 11H. When native may bring home articles related to Jupiter like deity photos etc. one should also bring articles related to its friends (Sun, Moon, Mars) like Ganga jal, rice, jaggery, honey etc. to avoid bad results. When there is planet badly placed in 8H & there are planets in 4H & 2H also, 8H & 4H together will adversely affect 2H. In similar situation, when the planet of 11H is inimical to planet of 8H, planet placed in 8H may not be able to influence 2H if it is vacant. But if they are friendly, it can certainly adversely influence 2H.
Ill placed planets of 8H carry no sympathy or mercy or kindness or intellect & behave as a revengeful, heartless & cruel person. For example, say someone killed one of the male child of person having 5 male children. So here justice will be based on tit for tat basis giving no importance to logical or intellectual justice or any kind of mercy i.e. his son will also be killed despite he may have only one child & his generation may cease.
When Sun or Moon or Jupiter or either of two or all three are placed in 8H, planet of 8H will neither aspect 12H through direct aspect nor 2H with retro aspect. The impact of planet of 8H will remain in 8H itself. It means that they will not harm longevity.
Saturn or Moon or Mars alone in 8H are generally not inauspicious but when either of two or all three are conjunct in 8H, it gives very bad results. Saturn will be a threat for longevity. Moon will give health concerns & financial losses. Mars malefic will give very bad results in coordination with planets of 2H & 6H. Mercury alone in 8H is considered as mostly inauspicious planet. Mars in 8H may or may not be inauspicious. Mars-Mercury conjunct in 8H is not inauspicious until Saturn is placed in 2H, otherwise, Mars will give results like Mars malefic & will be threat to longevity. When planets are placed in both 6H & 8H & either of the two is ill placed, both will give bad results.
Let us take some example to appreciate above mentioned results
1) Mars in 8H : When Mars is placed in 8H & Mercury, Ketu in 2H, younger brother (if alive) will suffer on account of blood related disease or arms. When Mercury is placed in 6H, mother may die in childhood. When Mercury is very well placed in horoscope in any house other than 6H or 8H, Mars will give bad results in proportion to strength of Mercury. It means that the more Mercury is better, the more Mars will be malefic. Inimical planets placed in 2H will generally give deaths in family especially up to 28 years. Native may face financial crisis.
2) When Mercury alone is placed in 8H or ill placed, it gives health concerns related to dental & veins. It reduces income by half all of sudden through some cheating or fraud or deception. When 2H is vacant, Mercury will inject its poison in the house where a debilitated planet is placed. When 2H has some planet, it will give adverse results for father for longevity & wealth in between Jupiter tenure (16 to 21 years).
3) When Saturn is ill placed in 8H with other planets, native might have born after death of same number of people as number of conjunct planets. Say Saturn, Mars & Moon are placed in 8H, it means that native was born after the death of two important relatives which may be related to Moon & Mars also. Deaths in family may even take place after native's birth for related planets. When 12H is vacant, native will live life of poverty till last age & will suffer on account of eye sight in old age.
4) When Rahu is ill placed in 8H & native tries to earn wealth by cheating or fraud, Rahu will reduce his income by 8 times. Native may loose much wealth due to litigation & may face sudden accidents.
5) When Ketu is ill placed in 8H, it gives longevity threat to native's male child. When Mercury is placed in previous houses (1H to 6H), native may be able to beget male progeny before 34 years. For example, if Mercury is placed in 1H, native will beget male progeny in 29th year. In 2H, in 30th year. In 3H, in 31st year & so on till 12H. But when Mercury is placed in later houses (7H to 12H), native begets male progeny after 34 years. When 2H is vacant (ignore Rahu here), Jupiter's remedy will be helpful. But if Jupiter is placed in 2H, it will give auspicious results. To avoid bad results of Ketu in 8H, Jupiter should be well placed in horoscope. If both Mercury & Venus are well placed in horoscope, that will also support to avoid bad placement of Ketu. Native's wife health will depend on his character.
