IMPORTANT RULES
1) When a planet is placed in 11H, it generally gives good results when it returns to 1H in Varhsphala. But that planet does not promises any good results after its age especially when in sleeping state. For example Sun (22), Saturn (36) etc.
2) Planets placed in 2H generally give good results if 8H is vacant. Planets placed in 2H generally gives good results in old age
3) An exalted planet may get destroyed due to enemy planet but it will not have tendency to give bad results.
4) Planet placed in own house has tendency to give good results
5) When a planet is placed in its exaltation house with enemy planet or it is aspecting enemy planet, it will not give bad results. Good results may or may not obtained. Few examples
- Jupiter in 4H & Mercury / Venus in 10H
- Sun in 1H & enemy planet in 7H. But it can affect health of spouse like T.B. etc.
- Moon in 2H & enemy planets in 6H or 12H
- Venus in 12H & Sun / Moon / Rahu in 2H
- Mars in 10H & Mercury / Ketu in 2H
- Mercury in 6H & Moon in 12H
- Saturn in 7H & Sun / Moon / Mars in 7H
- Rahu in 3H / 6H & Venus / Sun / Mars in 2H
- Ketu in 9H / 12H & Moon / Mars in 2H
6) When a planet gives bad results in first cycle of 35 years, it will not give bad results in second cycle of 35 years but there is no assurance of good results
7) When all the planets in a Varshphala are ill placed, native will have capacity to face even lacs of people in that year. That year will give good results like a Vipreet Rajyoga.
8) When lord of the house & karaka of the house are together in any house (well placed or ill placed), the results of that house will be experienced for sure
- Sun + Mars 1H
- Jupiter + Venus 2H
- Mars + Mercury 3H
- Mars + Venus 4H
- Sun + Jupiter 5H
- Mercury + Ketu 6H
- Venus + Mercury 7H
- Mars + Saturn 8H (Moon for longevity)
- Mercury + Saturn 9H
- Saturn 10H
- Jupiter + Saturn 11H
- Jupiter + Rahu 12H
9) When a planet is ill placed in horoscope, it will be possible to remove either of its two artificial planets (for getting positive results) by establishing a third planet who may have capacity to remove bad effects of that artificial planet. For example, say Saturn is ill placed in horoscope. The two artificial planets of Saturn are Jupiter + Venus. To remove Jupiter, establish Mercury. Mercury will help control Jupiter & we will be left with Venus & Mercury & Saturn will start giving positive results.
10) It will be auspicious to serve animal arrived at combined effects of two planets. For example, say Saturn + Mercury are friends & conjunct in horoscope. Now serving Mercury (bird) of black color (Saturn) i.e. crows to get best results of this conjunction. Say Venus + Saturn are conjunct. Serve black cows. Say Mercury + Saturn + Venus are conjunct, serve both black cows & crows. Following the similar principle, say Sun + Mercury are conjunct. Sun is male child, copper etc. Mercury is daughter. Copper coin around daughter's neck will be auspicious to control any ill effects of Mercury
11) Quick remedies for planets are as under
- For Jupiter, apply saffron at forehead, tongue & naval
- For Sun, put jaggery in river
- For Moon, keep water or milk in a round steel pot overnight pillow side where native sleeps. Next morning put it in kikar plants if available else any other plant
- For Mars malefic (Mangal bd), put jaggery revdi in river
- For Mars benefic (Mangal nek), donate sweets or put sweet sugar candy in river
- For Saturn, donate mustard oil iron pot after looking own shadow
- For Mercury, put copper coin with a hole in river
- For Rahu, donate radish or put raw coal in river
- For Ketu, serve dogs
The remedies are performed generally for 40 to 43 days. Pitra dosha remedies are performed for 40 43 weeks. Remedies must be done without any break. For any reason, if break is not avoidable, take rice & wash them with milk & keep it with you in red cloth. After restarting remedy the very first day, open the cloth knot & leave it near some tree like pipal tree or banyan tree etc. Total number of days 40 or 43 will be counted in this case.
12) When a planet is well placed in horoscope for example say in its exaltation house, it will give auspicious results in Varhsphala when it will return to its own houses etc. For example, say Jupiter is placed in exaltation in 4H in natal chart. Jupiter will give its good results when Jupiter will return to 2H, 4H, 5H, 9H etc. in Varshphala. No planet of horoscope will be considered good or bad for life time. When ill placed planet of horoscope comes to bad houses in Varhsphala, it will give its bad results especially when in 8H in Varshphala. Generally male planets give their results in day time & female planets during night time. Mercury can give its results both in day & night time. Malefic (Saturn, Rahu, Ketu) can give their results dusk & dawn.
13) Different planets rule different colors but with some exceptions. For example, bi color especially black & white combination or multi color is ruled by Ketu. But bi color or multicolor with red color present, it will be ruled by Mercury. So bi color black & white dog will be ruled by Ketu but if red color is present, that dog will be governed by Mercury. Similarly, we know bufalo is ruled by Saturn. But if its reddish brown in color (Sun), it will be governed by Sun. Similarly horse (Moon) of yellow color (Jupiter) will be governed by Jupiter. When Jupiter + Moon are together, serving yellow horses will be auspicious or serve banyan tree rules by Jupiter + Moon.
14) When a planet is well placed in a house, the relative of that house will have nature similar to that planet. For example, say Sun is placed in 6H of Ketu, male child of the native will have personality similar to Sun. Say Ketu is placed in 3H ruled by Mars, native's brothers will have personality similar to Ketu.
15) When Mercury is placed in 7H or Male planets or Saturn are placed in 1-4-7-10 houses or a planet is placed in 2H or 11H, they will not give bad results related to health like death etc. But the condition is that Saturn should not be related to female planets.
16) Some of the false predictions & suggestions are given by some Astrologers giving reference to planets of 12H & 8H are restricting the native to visit temple. The whole truth is actually different. LK states that say there is planet in 12H as well 8H & 2H is vacant. If the two planets after mixing can start behaving as inimical planets, & native starts visiting temple (2H), both planets will start giving bad results. So LK suggests it will be good to avoid visiting temple. But if you are visiting temple, do not touch any deity idol. Worshiping any deity inside temple will still be auspicious keeping in mind, native with such combination should not touch deity idols. Our suggestion is that you can still apply tilak to deity idols using only ring finger ruled by Sun. In case, 12H & 2H has friendly planets or 6H has well placed planet & 2H is vacant, it is strongly desired that native should go to temple every day & native can touch deity idols also. For example, say Ketu is placed in 12H, Mercury is placed in 8H & Rahu is placed in 6H & 2H is vacant. Now in this case, Mercury & Ketu together could have initiated bad results if Rahu was not placed in 6H.
17) When a planet is placed in 10H & it is under LK dasa, one should avoid wearing gem stone of that planet.
IMPORTANT RULES FOR CONSIDERING ANY PLANET GOOD OR BAD
1) When Ketu is placed in 1H, Sun will give results like an exalted planet
2) When Rahu is placed in 1H, the house where Sun is placed (not Sun) will be considered under eclipse
3) When Mercury is placed in 2H, Jupiter will be considered as ill placed planet
4) When Mercury is placed in 4H, Moon will be considered as ill placed
5) When Mars is placed in 6H, Ketu will be considered as ill placed
6) When Rahu is placed in 11H, Jupiter will be considered as ill placed.
7) When Ketu is placed in 11H, Moon will be considered as ill placed when Mercury is also placed in 9H
8) When Jupiter is placed in 11H, Rahu will be considered as ill placed when Mercury is ill placed.
9) When Moon is placed in 11H, Ketu will be considered as ill placed
17) If we assume each house of horoscope as residential home, the lord of the house will own the land & karaka of that house will signify building. The friendly or enemy relation of the two planets impact the prediction of the house. If they are friendly, that house will be of benefic nature. For example, lord of the first house is Mars & Karaka is Sun & both are friendly. For this reason, lagna bhava (as kendra & trikona) is considered auspicious. Similarly, lord of 5H is Sun & karaka is Jupiter so 5H (trikona) is auspicious. A third planet also comes in to action by its placement in a house & it will impact the results of that house. For example, 11H is ruled by Saturn & Jupiter is karaka of 11H. Say Rahu is placed in 11H. The lord of the land of the 11H is Saturn & 11H is also the house through which native comes in this world (8H from 4H of mother). Even this whole zodiac, planets also come into picture through 11H. 11H also rules over native's income earned by self efforts & through his career. Saturn being lord of the land, it will be of iron or stone or white marble etc. ruled by Saturn. The building is of yellow color which is shining like gold. Now Rahu is placed in 11H who is agent of Saturn & is known for malefic results. If Saturn is black color Raj Mistri (Mason), Jupiter is spiritual, worshiper, religious etc. Now Rahu takes over 11H & blue elephant of Rahu creates turbulence (like earthquake) in that house & converts yellow color of the building to blue through its mischief. The earthquake made the building disappear. In predictive terms, Jupiter's results are destroyed & spiritual, religious, worshipping nature disappeared. When yellow color (Jupiter) was mixed with blue color (Rahu), it yieldied green color (Mercury) & Saturn' black color got spread over empty Brhamand (Universe) ruled by Mercury. The bottom line is that Jupiter's results are destroyed & for this reason it is mandatory for native to wear gold having Rahu in 11H. When you will see the results of Rahu in 11H, it is written in LK that native with Rahu in 11H start giving its malefic effect on father (like a gun shot as Rahu rules over bullet). The color mixing results are actually scientific also & LK states that two artificial planets of Mercury are Jupiter + Rahu.
18) The result of a planet alone in any house may be good or bad as per placement. But when two or more planets are placed in a house, their collective results may modify in some houses. For example, Mars in 8H is not so auspicious placement. Mercury in 8H is in general bad placement. But when Mars + Mercury are placed in 8H, they give good results. In this example, Mercury alone is bad placement in 8H but when Mercury is conjunct male planet, it does not give bad results. Similarly, Venus alone in 9H is bad placement but Venus + Ketu in 9H is very auspicious. So it will be mandatory to see results of conjunctions instead of giving predictions through individual placements. Mostly, three planets together in any house do not give good results with some exceptions like Saturn + Mars + Sun in a house may give feeling of bad effects as per Vedic Astrology but LK states that native will be very wealthy except in 11H as in this case native will be a liar, stubborn, dogmatic or fanatic & unfortunate. Another example of good results is Sun + Mars + Mercury in a house. Native will have very strong determination, self respect, capacity to handle multiple tasks at one time & defeat his enemies.
Mercury in 3H & Venus in 9H generally give bad results & Mars may also give results like Mars malefic (Mangal bd). But When Mercury + Mars are placed together in a house previous to Venus, Mercury helps Mars to catch up with Venus. The result will be that Mars (male) & Venus (female) will meet each other & native will for sure get married & beget progeny despite yoga of progeny may be weak in horoscope. This rule is quite similar to Nadi principles.
Well placed Venus in 1H is like a evergreen flower & Ketu in 1H makes Sun to give its results like an exalted planet but Venus + Ketu are in 1H, native may not have capacity to produce children.
19) LK has given results of conjunctions of planets but all conjunctions are not covered. For such conjunctions, focus on their independent results & do not form your own conjunctions. For example, say 4 planets are placed in a house but the conjunction result is not mentioned in LK. Do not try to form your own groups of two - two planets or three planets & one planet etc. Focus on their independent results. While analysing results of conjunctions of planets, start with conjunction of 7 planets followed by 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 & at last individual placement.
20) It is mentioned in LK in some chapters that native should avoid alcohol, do not lie, do not cheat, keep his character strong, avoid extra marital relations etc. Actually it would mean that native will have habit of such activities. Also when it is mentioned that maternal family will suffer, it would mean that his maternal uncles will suffer on account of wealth & family. When it is mentioned that native will have long life, it would mean that native will have face deaths of his family members & he may die at last.
21) The twelve houses are divided for 12 lunar months starting from Vaishakha as 1H, Jyeshtha as 2H, Ashadha as 3H, Shravana as 4H, Bhadrapada as 5H, Ashwina as 6H, Kartika as 7H, Margsheersha as 8H, Pausha as 9H, Magha as 10H, Falguna as 11H & Chaitra as 12H. The starting & ending dates may vary in different years. For example, for year 2024, Vaishakha starts from 24 April 2024 & ends on 23rd May 2024. Following months may progress accordingly taking average lunar month as 29.5 days
Say a planet is placed in any house. When a planet will come to that house in Varshphala, it will give results in the above mentioned lunar month. For example, say a planet is placed in 2H, it means that results of 2H will be experienced in the month of Jyeshtha. In any Varshphala, Mercury comes to 2H which will be considered bad for Jupiter's results i.e. father etc. So the whole year may not be bad for father or Jupiter related but Jyeshtha month will give bad effects.
But in case, if a house is vacant in natal chart & a planet arrives in that house in any Varshphala, the results of that house will be experienced according to placement of Sun in a house number. For example, say 4H was vacant in natal chart & in any Varshphala, Mars arrives in 4H & Sun arrives in 8H. In this case, Mars will give its results in 8th month from birth date.
