Bhatri-Bhava (House of Brothers)

Shloka 1

Third lord and the karka of 3rd house i.e. Mars if associated, indicates more brothers.

Shloka 2

3rd lord, Sun and Mars in third house makes the native brave and enduring.

Shloka 3

Rahu-Ketu in 3rd makes one brave. Mercury makes impatient lacking self confidence.

Shloka 4

Weak 3rd house associated with Jupiter or Mars; one should state more brothers.

Shloka 5 & 6

If Jupiter is placed in 11th house, native suffers sorrow from elder brother. If Mars is in 11th house aspected by Saturn; native will lack elder brothers. One should state arishtha (death or casuality) to brothers if 3rd lord is placed in 6/8 houses.

Shloka 7

If 10th lord is placed in third house in horoscopes of Shatriya (political or fighter class), it certainly minimizes the Rajyoga.

Shloka 8

The learned states that 2nd lord with 3rd lord makes one generous (charitable).

Shloka 9

2nd lord and 3rd lord if associated with Saturn makes one greedy and miser; as learned states.

Shloka 10

If 3rd lord is placed in in 6/8/12 houses with benefic, it indicates arishta (death or casuality) late in their life.

Dhana Yogas

Shloka 1 & 2

If second lord is in fifth house and 5th lord is in 2nd house or 2nd lord is in 11th house and 11th lord is in 2nd house; If 5th lord is in 5th and 9th lord is in 9th, learned astrologers state that it is special yoga of wealth.

Shloka 3 & 4

2nd and 11th lord if associates with 5th and 9th lord, it form Dhan yoga. No Dhana yoga is formed if they (2nd and 11th lord) associates with other house lords (other than 5th and 9th).
Though it indicates absence of special Dhana yoga but still native will earn some wealth, as stated by learned.

Shloka 5

Native will not acquire great wealth if 2nd & 11th lord combines or associates with 12th lord.

Shloka 6

Dhana Karka Jupiter if combines or associates with 2nd lord and Mercury, it confers Dhana Yoga.

Shloka 7

11th lord in 11th house; lagna lord in lagna; 2nd lord in 2nd house confers Dhana Yoga.

Shloka 8

2nd and 11th lord in lagna causes Dhana Yoga as stated by learned astrologers.

Shloka 9

If Planets are posited in the houses of which they are karka (significator); such houses give little results.

Shloka 10

If seventh lord Moon is posited in 2nd house; only Moon is posited in 2nd house, native retrieves his lost wealth.



Poverty Yogas

Shloka 1

If (lagna) ascendant lord, 4th lord and 9th lord are posited in 8th house, native suffers from poverty right from childhood.

Shloka 2

If 2nd lord is in 12th & 12th lord is in 2nd; native always suffers from poverty.

Shloka 3

If 2nd lord is in 12th & 12th lord is in lagna (ascendant) aspected by marka (killer), native is poor.

Shloka 4

If 5th lord is in 6th house & 9th lord is in 8th house aspected by marka (killer), native is poor.

EDUCATION

Shloka 1

Venus in 4th house makes the native skilled in singing (music). Mercury (son of Moon) in 4th makes the native a skilled Astrologer (Jyotish Shastra Visharada).

Shloka 2

If Sun or Mercury or Rahu is posited in 5th house, native is proficient in education of  Astrology (Jyotish Shastra Praveena) and a doctor who deals with poisonous medicines.

Shloka 3

Sun and Mercury in 2nd house makes the native a skilled Astrologer (Jyotish Shastra Visharada). Saturn aspecting this combination makes the native a mathematician.

Shloka 4

Sun & Mars in 2nd house makes the native skilled logician (Tark shastra Visharada). SAturn, Sun and Mercury in 5th house makes the native well versed in Vedanta.

Shloka 5

Mercury and Sun in Kendra (quadrant), Trikona (trine) or in 11th house makes one mathematician. If Venus is in 2nd house, native becomes poet.

Shloka 6

Rahu in 5th house makes native understand deep meaning (Bhavaratha and not just shabdartha) of things. Rahu in 4th gives long life to mother.

Shloka 7

If Jupiter is in 2nd house, native is expert in Veda-Vedanga. If Jupiter is in exaltation or own sign, native is certainly be expert in said subjects.

Shloka 8

Native is worshiped (honored in modern context) in public and he will be highly learned; if 2nd lord and karka Jupiter are posited in kendra (quadrant) or trikona (trine); native is certainly well versed in all branches of education and is worshiped by public.

Shloka 9

If Mars is in 2nd house, native is skilled logician (Tark Shastra Visharada). Moon in 2nd makes one pandit (priest).  

Shloka10

If Venus is in 2nd house, native is educated in poetry and finery (rhetoric). Saturn in 2nd makes one a fool and rouge (evil minded).

FOOD RELATED

Shloka 1

If Saturn is placed in 3rd house or joins 3rd lord or aspects 3rd, native likes bitter and sour flavor.

Shloka 2

Mars in 3rd house; native like hot foods. If karka Jupiter is posited in 3rd house, native likes Satvik* (Pure Vegetarian Food) foods.

Shloka 3

Native likes Taambulam-pungifalam or similar chewable ( Fresh betel leaf with betel nut (Supari) and small green cardamom (choti elachi) folded and closed by clove (laung). He indulges in adultery.

Shloka 4

If Saturn is in 2nd house, native speaks rudely and indistinctly (dim and not understandable).  Ketu or Jupiter in 2nd makes one clever and skilled speaker.

Shloka 5

Sun and Mars in 2nd makes one harsh in speech. Moon makes talkative.

Shloka 6

Mercury in 2nd makes one talk cleverly and skillfully. Rahu there makes one will lack self pride in speech (humility). 

Shloka 7

If Venus is in 2nd house, native eats kheer (sweet milked rice) and other quality foods. Rahu-Ketu there makes one eat as per circumstances.

Shloka 8

If Saturn is in 2nd house, native undoubtedly gets very low quality food, food which is partially consumed and left over by others and food prepared at death ceremony or Shradha (ancestral offerings).
