LAL KITAB PREDICTIVE TECHNIQUES LESSON 1

 ॐ गण गणपतये नमः

To understand the concepts of Lal Kitab (LK), it states that

  • first prepare horoscope (with the help of trusted software) as per Vedic Astrology principles in which we should have lagna chart & Bhava chart.
  • Lagna chart basically indicates lagna cusp & planets placed in different rasi in the horoscope and all the bhavas (houses) will have same cusp as of lagna.
  • Bhava chart is prepared in two ways. The first one is equal bhava system in which each house will be of 30 degrees (360 degrees  divided by 12). It is followed by many Vedic Astrologers to see the placement of planet in bhava. We will not follow this system
  • Second one is Bhava Sripati chart which is prepared through 10H cusp & in this system, bhavas may have different cusp & each bhava may not be 30 degrees. In LK, bhava chart is more important as aspects are taken from bhavas & not from planets (in Parashari system) or rasi (in Jaimini system). LK completes the missing link of bhava aspect. We will follow Bhava Sripati chart as primary chart for LK predictions & remedies.
  • We should can safely ignore any other system like Placidius etc.
After we have prepared the chart, we need to remove the rasi in different houses & we can mark the lagna as first house & complete the counting of 12 houses anti clock wise in North Indian style chart. We are doing this for very important reason that LK predictive techniques are deeply related to planets placed in different houses & their interaction with each other due to placement in different houses. After we have fully understood these principles, we can bring in rasi effect at later stages.

As per LK, each planet is comprised of two artificial planets as under

          PLANET                                      ARTIFICIAL PLANETS                          COLOR

  • Jupiter                                              Sun & Venus                                              Yellow
  • Sun                                                Mercury & Venus                                   Copper, Wheat
  • Moon                                                Jupiter & Sun                                             Milk white
  • Venus                                                Rahu & Ketu                                              Curd white
  • Mars benefic*                                  Sun & Mercury                                           Blood red
  • Mars malefic                                    Sun & Saturn                                                  "
  • Mercury                                           Jupiter & Rahu                                           Green
  • Saturn                                              Jupiter & Venus (Ketu like nature)             Black
  • Saturn                                              Mercury & Mars (Rahu like nature)             "
  • Rahu                                                 Saturn & Mars (Exalted like)                      Blue
  • Rahu                                                 Sun & Saturn (Debilitated like)                      "
  • Ketu                                                  Venus & Saturn (Exalted like)                                                                                                        bi color black & white, multi color without red color
  • Ketu                                                   Saturn & Moon (debilitated like)               "
*Mars may be benefic or malefic in horoscope & it is decided as per LK rules

When the above mentioned artificial planets are conjunct, they together act like supportive planet. For example, say Sun & Venus are conjunct in horoscope so they will act like supportive Jupiter apart from their own results. Another example, say Ketu is ill placed in horoscope & Saturn & Moon are conjunct which forms (second) debilitated Ketu, it will give bad results related to Ketu like male progeny etc. If three or more planets are conjunct, this rule may not apply.

General division of planets

Jupiter, Sun & Mars are male planets
Moon & Venus are female planets
Rahu, Ketu & Saturn are called as Paapi Greha (sinner)
Mercury is eunuch

Permanent houses of planets

Sun is karaka or significator of first house
Jupiter : 2H, 5H, 9H, 11H
Mars : 3H
Moon : 4H
Ketu : 6H
Venus & Mercury: 7H
Saturn : 8H, 10H
Rahu : 12H

1) We know about the technique of finding relationship between planets as friends or inimical or neutral as per Vedic Astrology. Lal Kitab (LK) also uses same methodology except that LK has included Rahu & Ketu also. To find friends of any planet, prepare a horoscope with Mool Trikona rasi of the planet in lagna. From lagna, 2/4/5/8/9/12 & the house of exaltation is marked as Friend (F). Rest of the houses are marked Enemy (E). If one rasi of planet has F & the other has E, it becomes neutral. For Rahu & Ketu, following table will help

But Lal Kitab also indicates about two camps of planets. One camp is called as Friendly camp & the other one is called as Enemy camp. This camp further highlights serious relationship with one planet instead of above mentioned overall table

Friendly Camp :

Sun's friend is Moon; Moon's friend is Jupiter; Jupiter's friend is Mars benefic (Mangal Nek); Mars benefic friend is Rahu; Rahu's friend is Mercury; Mercury's friend is Saturn; Saturn's friend is Venus & Venus's friend is Ketu.

Enemy Camp :

Saturn's enemy is Sun; Sun's enemy is Venus; Venus enemy is Jupiter; Jupiter's enemy is Mercury; Mercury's enemy is Moon; Moon's enemy is Ketu; Ketu's enemy is Mars malefic & Mars malefic enemy is Rahu
